Body Peace Treaty

this is from seventeen.. i think
i DID NOT write this,
but i think that this is really important
ahem

Body Peace Treaty
I vow to…
• Remember that the sun will still rise tomorrow even if I had one too many slices of pizza or an extra scoop of ice cream tonight.

• Never blame my body for the bad day I'm having.

• Stop joining in when my friends compare and trash their own bodies.

• Never allow a dirty look from someone else to influence how I feel about my appearance.

• Quit judging a person solely by how his or her body looks — even if it seems harmless — because I'd never want anyone to do that to me.

• Notice all the amazing things my body is doing for me every moment I walk, talk, think, breathe...

• Quiet that negative little voice in my head when it starts to say mean things about my body that I'd never tolerate anyone else saying about me.

• Remind myself that what you see isn't always what you get on TV and in ads — it takes a lot of airbrushing, dieting, money, and work to look like that.

• Remember that even the girl who I'd swap bodies with in a minute has something about her looks that she hates.

• Respect my body by feeding it well, working up a sweat when it needs it, and knowing when to give it a break.

• Realize that the mirror can reflect only what's on the surface of me, not who I am inside.

• Know that I'm already beautiful just the way I am.

into the wild...

okay ,the other day i watched Into The Wild and I really enjoyed it
its about this man's journey, leaving almost everything behind, to go to Alaska
firstly its based on a real story (at least I think so)
and second of all... it veers away from the predictable hollywood happily ever after, all loose ends settled sort of ending
and that's what really got me b/c most movies end well.
(well except for this other movie I watched called We All Fall Down)(locally shot and produced?)
This one didnt. and it was unexpected
aside from that, it wasn't just a straight out story.
it was put together with bits and pieces, here and there
and some thoughts/narration
its always hard to put it together chronologically,
but I didn't think that it was the point,
it shows the people he met and the way he was different and impacted them.
this movie made me think about my life,
and I believe this movie has that power to say something,
you just have to find out what it's saying to you.
I would definitely recommend you to watch this movie.
it's very moving
4.5/5

Ta cion agam ort

Tà bròn orm Ta cion agam ort. Tà tù tàbhachtach.
I'm sorry, I love you, you're important (c'est Gaelic- mais c'est tres mal)

huh..?

if you have the time to read this post,
then you have the time to take a few minutes just think about
what you really want to be doing,
what really makes you 'tick',
what you couldnt imagine not doing...
.
.
.
.
.
.
now with that thought in your mind,
go and BE YOURSELF... in the end that's all that matters
