world aids day

i know its late... i just noticed the time, but this is important
i just realized that today was world aids day, i thought that it had passed, but i was wrong, hence the reason there is so much news on aids.
i think that the world needs to become more aware of the reality of HIV and AIDS and that its here and is affecting a vast majority of people in Africa and around the world.
If you think about, say, if a person in Canada had HIV or AIDS, they would most certainly be in the hospital getting help. But these poor people in Africa are not getting the treatments that they need, and without medication they are going to die. Plus, if passed on, their children will become infected as well.
What kind of message is that sending?, are people in developed countries more valuable then people in undeveloped countries... i think not. so why the difference in treatment? we have to start thinking about these people as our brothers and sisters rather than just another problem to be solved.
For those who don't know, HIV can lead to AIDS and the biggest issue is stopping HIV from developing into full blown AIDS.
but it is not all bad,
there are group out there that are educating the African young men on the usage of condoms and how effective they are.
not only that. if pharmaceutical companies help in producing medication, many of the people who need help will get it.
even thought i am only mentioning how its has affected africa, there are many cases around the world., in china and in russia and just places where you dont and you do expect it
HIV/AIDS.... if we all become aware, i believe that that makes a difference, and if we spread the word and speak up, then thats even better.

-global effort on world aids day

sorry this is so jumbled. its late. and i'm still somewhat sick..

What is Black?

What is Black?

The space between time.
A void that fills life when things are going terribly wrong,
An emptiness replacing all thoughts or emotions,
Loneliness coming and going, without notice;
Black
The night’s sky, calling out to those under it,
The eyes in the dark that sees everything, but rarely speaks,
The hidden sense of foreboding,
Of evilness lurking around the corner?
Black
A father’s death,
The family’s sorrow,
A personal loss,
Mourning at an unexpected hour;
Black
The mystery that threatens the unknown,
Submission not only to yourself, but to others;
Black
The sleekness of a new car,
The sophistication of that perfect little dress,
Black
The bad luck that follows after a cat crosses your path,
The vision that encompasses you when you close your eyes,
When you are finally true to yourself in the shadows of slumber,
The darkness that exists when no light is present,
Something bad waiting to happen,
What am I?
I am Black.

"I Miss You"

"I Miss You"

I miss you, I miss you
Hello there, the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in the background of the morgue
The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
We'll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never ends

I miss you, I miss you
I miss you, I miss you

Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness
Comes creeping on so haunting every time
And as I stared I counted
Webs from all the spiders
Catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
and hear your voice of treason
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight
Stop this pain tonight

Don't waste your time on me you're already
The voice inside my head I miss you, I miss you
Don't waste your time on me you're already
The voice inside my head I miss you, I miss you

I miss you, I miss you
