i know its late... i just noticed the time, but this is important
i just realized that today was world aids day, i thought that it had passed, but i was wrong, hence the reason there is so much news on aids.
i think that the world needs to become more aware of the reality of HIV and AIDS and that its here and is affecting a vast majority of people in Africa and around the world.
If you think about, say, if a person in Canada had HIV or AIDS, they would most certainly be in the hospital getting help. But these poor people in Africa are not getting the treatments that they need, and without medication they are going to die. Plus, if passed on, their children will become infected as well.
What kind of message is that sending?, are people in developed countries more valuable then people in undeveloped countries... i think not. so why the difference in treatment? we have to start thinking about these people as our brothers and sisters rather than just another problem to be solved.
For those who don't know, HIV can lead to AIDS and the biggest issue is stopping HIV from developing into full blown AIDS.
but it is not all bad,
there are group out there that are educating the African young men on the usage of condoms and how effective they are.
not only that. if pharmaceutical companies help in producing medication, many of the people who need help will get it.
even thought i am only mentioning how its has affected africa, there are many cases around the world., in china and in russia and just places where you dont and you do expect it
HIV/AIDS.... if we all become aware, i believe that that makes a difference, and if we spread the word and speak up, then thats even better.
-global effort on world aids day
sorry this is so jumbled. its late. and i'm still somewhat sick..
